September's Journal
November's Journal
xx/10/2025
Very definitely thinking about calling a halt to journaling at the end of this
calendar year. 25 years of journaling is quite a lot, and while things have
changed over the years (and how!) and it's quite a body of work that deserves
to be continued... I'm just not feeling the urge quite so much these days.
Maybe it's the working from home, maybe I just feel like there's less to share,
or at least less of an inclination to share. We'll see...
October started with more of the VM rebuilds I talked about last month. A
haircut (much needed at that point), and then getting a train somewhere (at
least as far as Google Calendar tells me). I don't actually remember where
though! I also started climbing again as a new climbing wall has opened up
just a few miles away (rather than clear across town, with some unpleasant
roads for cycling on between home and there). I haven't been many times as
yet as the cost is pretty high per session, but it has been a lot of fun to
use my strength in a functional way again.
I spent a weekend with Rel at her northern place (always lovely), and the
following weekend headed down to stay with her for a night and a morning
before she headed off to east Africa for close on three weeks. While she was
away I did a few days in the office to show willing, attended some all hands
staff meetings (various levels from division to department), and tried to keep
myself busy so I didn't miss Rel too much. No visit to my parents this month
after last month's Wales adventure.
