July's Journal
September's Journal
09/08/2024
We're into August already. This year seems to be accelerating in how quickly
time passes. Although I've only just done July's entry, I'm on a roll so I'll
get a first one done for August too.
Not much has happened since I came back from my parents' last week. They've
had some new windows and patio doors fitted (finally), I've done some more
patching, I've begun to push out some new compliance software at work, and for
the first time in weeks I've been able to get a complete week of training in
the gym and on the pavements done. Currently I'm feeling pretty tired, having
had a cold for the last few weeks (probably after the athletics and all the
public-facing time I had), but I've also been trying to cut back on
carbohydrates a little more too, which can't be helping.
Still to come this month is a weekend alone for the first time in a while as
Rel has a friend to meet up with and other things to do, more patching in all
the VPs remaining in the month, white water rafting in the Lee Valley with
Rel's nephew (should be awesome), Rel going to Orkney with some friends, and
my parents coming to visit me just as the calendar turns to September. More
on all of that in my next entry.
